On March 20, the much-anticipated “Wicked: For Good” makes its streaming debut, wrapping up the epic adaptation of the Broadway musical as Elphaba and Glinda’s friendship reaches its breaking point. Finally, for the horror buffs, “Bambi: The Reckoning” arrives on March 27, continuing the “Poohniverse” trend of turning beloved childhood icons into slashy nightmare material.

“Ted” is back for season 2, and the show is doubling down on what it does best: turning a very specific kind of 1990s teenager’s life into a montage of adult moments and surprisingly tender ones. Set in 1994, the foul-mouthed, Boston-accented bear is now deep into his post-fame era, living with 17-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder) as they stumble through senior year together. John is trying to figure out girls, popularity, and what adulthood is supposed to look like, while Ted is doing everything in his power to derail that plan. It’s more of the same in a shiny new package.

“Wicked: For Good” picks up where the previous film left off as Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda’s (Ariana Grande) friendship hits its breaking point, with Oz turning hostile and the “Wicked Witch” forcing Elphaba to leave her old life behind. The public is furious about Elphaba’s behavior and paints her as evil, while Glinda, now engaged to Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) is forced to reckon with the cost of playing the system and effectively long-conning the citizens of Oz to make a real difference. It’s a thrilling conclusion to the popular movie adaptation of the Broadway hit.

“Bambi: The Reckoning” is the latest childhood to get dragged into the horror grinder, following the transformation of “Winnie the Pooh” into a slasher flick for some reason. After a mother and son survive a car wreck, they find themselves being hunted through the woods by Bambi, who’s been reimagined as a mutated deer on a violent rampage. Driven by revenge over the death of his mother, this version of Bambi is less wide-eyed fawn and more unstoppable forest predator, so you can probably imagine how things play out when he reaches this unwitting family.
